Tetris Ultimate is Coming to the 3DS!

According to gaming website IGN, prominent game developer Ubisoft has recently confirmed that Tetris Ultimate will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS. The game is a revamping of the classic Tetris title which has entertained and challenged gamers since its release in the 1980s, when it was first released on the Nintendo Gameboy but has since been seen on numerous other game platforms and has been imitated but never duplicated.

The game will include six different modes, many of them new to the game series. Among the modes includes Endless (where you clear blocks until you lose), Ultra (rack up the highest score in 3 minutes), Marathon (score points after level 15), Battle (multiplayer with 1 to 4 player) and Battle Ultimate (multiplayer with powerups).

The headline mode is Challenge mode which offers missions for the player to complete; these include Master (blocks that appear at the bottom instantly), Rotation Lock (you cannot rotate blocks and are random), Escalation (more blocks to clear as it levels up), and Invisible (invisible blocks).

The video game title is expected to be released on November 11, just in time for the holiday shopping season. The game is surely to be on the top of many wish lists for presents this year. The game will be available on the Nintendo eShop and in retail stores on the 11th but you can place an order now on Amazon.
