Nintendo Releases New Themes for the 3DS

Nintendo is known for its quirky style and iconic characters. But its 3DS system, while popular, has notably lacked that characteristic personality in its home screen, which is a blank white slate.

In response to player requests for more stylish options, the company has released several new themes with its latest system update – once it is downloaded, users can visit the official Theme Shop and choose from five free screen themes, available in background colors of blue, red, yellow, pink, or black.

Moreover, there are premium themes priced at $2 that include Mighty Mushrooms, Mario, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. The previous default blank screen has also been replaced by iconic Mario or Link themed backgrounds.

These new choices help offer a lot of character and uniqueness to each 3DS. Nintendo is known for being responsive to the feedback of its fan base, which is among the most dedicated in the world.

This latest update is one of several much-anticipated offerings for the fall and winter seasons. Others include the RPG Fantasy Life, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and a new 3DS model that promises more processing power.

All this comes shortly after the launch of Super Smash Bros, which has thus far sold 2.8 million copies around the world. Owning a 3DS has never been more exciting!

Aside from colorful new themes and games, another way to spice up your experience is with the Chat-PAK Nintendo 3DS Case, which brings a whole other dimension of multiplayer interaction. Users can chat with their friends for up to four miles while playing their games, or even interact with any approved walkie-talkie device.
