• 22 Channels and 38 CTCSS sub-codes provide 836 available “talk groups” to choose from to avoid other users.
• Voice Scramble feature jumbles your speech so only users with CHAT-PAK scramble mode can decode your conversation.
• Internal speaker and microphone let's you chat easily without using a headset accessory.
• VOX let's you chat without having to press the PTT button (hands free operation).
• Keypad Lock prevents accidental activation of buttons that could change your CHAT-PAK settings.
• Auto Power Off (APO) when selected, shuts off the CHAT-PAK after four hours if there is no activity to save battery.
• Channel SCAN allows you to search for channel activity to either join or avoid a chat-group.
• Call Alert lets you to identify friends when they call using any one of the 10 available unique call alerts. It can also be used to page your unit if misplaced.
• Time out Timer (TOT) shuts down the transmitter after 60 seconds to prevent excessive battery drain and any one user tying up the channel. Once the user releases the PTT button they can press it again if they need to continue talking.
• Low Battery Alert lets you know when you need to charge or replace the battery.
• Battery Save automatically puts the unit in a sleep cycle that helps to conserve the battery during standby mode.
• Accessory Jack allows you to connect a headset accessory to the CHAT-PAK to have more privacy.
• LCD with Backlight allows you to easily program and see the radio status.
